At least I Think it is.. I really don't know what to do here.
I have a White Diamond that I believe to be very sick or dying. The best way I can explain is it will go to the top of the tank then slowly fall downwards tail first. Also no appetite.

I do not believe it has been picked on either,as I have never seen another Discus even give it a nudge.
My parameters are as follows:
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
NitrAte = 5
Water temp 83.5 degrees.
These Discus( all 9 ) were moved from my established 55 gal to my newly established 125 gal. I put in 3 1st,waited about 3 days and put in another 3 then waited another 4 days and put in the last 3.

Unfortunately I currently do not have a tank cycled for a hospital tank. I do have an extra 20 gallon,but again not cycled.

Any ideas ?

you have media from established tanks you can use bacteria from that to set up a hospital tank.
how big is this discus? young?
is the discus dark, fins clamped etc.

my guess is to move it and slowly bump the temp to 88-90 and add salt. slowly.

this is the general course for a sick discus.

Is he standing on his head?

How long has it been since he ate?

Sounds like a swim bladder problem.

No not standing on his head. Really it is the opposite. He seemes to keep his head pointed upwards while his back points down.
The last time he ate was a day ago,I think..

Its fins are not clamped,nor is it dark.

I was surprised when I woke up this AM that it was still alive.

my suggestion is to move the discus to a hospital tank , bump the temp and keep an eye on it.
(salt is used quite often)
