recommended power heads?

I have around 70 bucks to buy some power heads is one enough or do I need two? I have a 55 gal ...and do they require hosing or how do they work? Any suggestions would be awesome

Do not buy the aquaball powerheads if you're looking for some good water flow.

The Hagen 70 (old 802) is great. Does 400gph and is reversible. Not to mention you can fit a garden hose on the end of it to drain aquariums that are too low to syphon.

agreed i just bought a number one for my 24 gal from bigals. maybe one of those and a maxijet if you dont have enough money to buy two i have a maxi 1200 in my 55 fw and i like it because it was cheap lol
