Do not buy the aquaball powerheads if you're looking for some good water flow.
The Hagen 70 (old 802) is great. Does 400gph and is reversible. Not to mention you can fit a garden hose on the end of it to drain aquariums that are too low to syphon.

Highly recommend the Hydor Koralias. I have 2 of the #3s on my 55. The company is great to work with as well. They can be difficult to find but not impossible. agreed i just bought a number one for my 24 gal from bigals. maybe one of those and a maxijet if you dont have enough money to buy two i have a maxi 1200 in my 55 fw and i like it because it was cheap lol
o and they dont require housing they are little mechanical things that move water... they sound exciting dont they
maxi jets have a concentrated stream effect cuz of the outlet and are relativly strong for their size
the koralias have a merging stream where they draw water around the stream and stir water up, also has more water intake
the aquaclears are multi funtional (reverse flow) and will do the job well
anything else is basic
