Hi all, got one beautiful red male betta in my tank and want to add a pair of dward gourami, but heard they might cause problems with each other.

Is this correct?

well depending on how big the tank was and if there were a lot of hiding place u might get away with it but the the betta will always go after the gourami because the look a like or the other way around.

With the 130 liters (~34 US gallons) in your sig. I'd sat there is not enough room for both species to co-exist peacefully...

going to sell my 5X leopard danios and get 2-3 siamese algae eaters instead, as my tank is infested with hair, fuzz algae.
