This morning I noticed that one of my tetras has mouth rot. Two days ago all were fine, yesterday I was not home. There is no recovery for this little guy. My question - should I treat the whole tank for mouth rot with something like melafix? Do I just wait and see what happens? HELP!

I would treat the whole thing with Melafix, it is safe to use, since it is natural, and I have saved a few fishes with various fin/tail/ mouth rot issues.

Never lost any fish using melafix or pimafix, and to be honest, I usually dose both at the same time I notice anything wrong.

It should be safe..I use them in mild cases.but if these meds don't work..you may want to try a stronger med.
