ick on my tang, please help!

Hey there,

Did you check your water parameter?

Also, since you mention it's new to the tank, it might actually cure within next couple of days. Many times, tangs already come with ick when you buy them from LFS. Once they're under stress, it becomes visible. It could be a temporary thing as your tang's been under stress from being moved into a new environment.

Key is to provide high quality water.

He's only in the tank for 5 days, but he looked great until today. Should I do a fresh water dip? I don't want to, but I don't want to loose him either.

You can try the process the Subliminal just posted a couple of days ago about him trying to save a powder brown tang.. He bought his with VERY advanced ick.. If yours is new you should be able to save him.. But remember if your fish has ick, your tank has ick..
