i am interest in purchasing a group of these guys but have not been able to find all the info i need on the net.
1. how hard are the males on the females? would 1:2 work?
2. how large of a tank do i need to keep 2 or maybe 3 males? will more than 1 male show full color?
3. Are they aggressive towards other species of cichlid?
4. which of the following fish could they be kept with in a 40-75 gallon tank? the tank will be lightly stocked with 1-2 other species and these are some of the potential candidates i am interested in.
-victorian haps (Astatotilapia burtoni/Pundamilia nyererei/Astatotilapia nubila/Haplochromis sp. Kenya Gold/Astatotilapia aeneocolor) hybridize? too aggressive? i would only keep one of these species if even possible. just wanted to give all the potential options.
-Hemichromis lifalili/Hemichromis cristatus
-Anomalochromis thomasi/Pelmatochromis thomasi
-P taeniatus "Red Nigeria"
-Laetacara Dorsigera
-Nannacara anomala
-Aequidens patricki
-other?
5. Any special Issues with these guys?
