I have a Discus(Melon) I'm getting pretty concerned about. It is in a 125 gal tank with 7 other Discus. Lately(about a week now) it just does not seem to be eating. I feed flakes,Tetra Color Bits,Brine Shrimp & Beefheart. Nothing seems to entice it lately. I even tried adding garlic to some Beefheart today,nothing. All it's tankmates are eating fine.

3 of these fish I have had for about 8-9 months,the other 5 for about 3 months. Awhile back I lost a White Diamond for no apparent reason.

My parameters are as follows:

Temp = 83 degrees
Ammonia = 0
Nitrite = 0
NitrAte = 10

He is even starting to look a little skinny,again worrying me.
I have never treated any of my Discus for Parasites/worming etc.
Should I do so just as a normal maintenence? If so,what should I use ?

G'day

I agree with the link given by "red scare" I have been involved with importing discus for a while and i have used DMZ while treating for there is what i believe to be a blood protozoa that is already in the discus blood stream that can give problems from day one or later on in its life if water conditions are poor.
