is platic safe for inside aquarium use?

just wondering if most / all non-painted platic is safe for aquarium use.

Or if there is some kind that is, and how would I find it?

There are many types of plastic. Bottled water in the stores, if refilled, should only be used for a couple of fillings because the plastic will start to break down and leach into the water. I am pretty sure most plastics would be safe but to be on the safe side it would wise to know what kind of plastic and its properties.
