YEEEE HAWWW my clowns layed a clutch of eggs. I have a flower pot that I placed in my tank eons ago, its so old its covered in green and red coraline.. My clowns have never paid attention to the flower pot but over the last few days they really have been hanging out here instead of their normal spot.. I can't really see in it from its positioning, but they moved away a little bit today when I fed the tank and I then checked the pot and saw some little eggs!!!!!

How long is it going to take these to hatch?? Anyone have experience with raising clowns.. Man now I'm gonna have to rush to the store to see if I can come up with an economical hatchery...

But Yea!!!!

And then it brings a point.. Can a true perc and a false perc mate??? I bought them because they were in the same tank and if one moved the other swam over to get closer.. I hoped they might but never thought they would..

WOOHOO...pretty darn awsome news mate....really chuffed...

I think in your case it proves they obviously can breed unless you have other clowns in the tank that are not in your sig...Review the following article, it should help you a lot..

Thanks for the article Niko.. But guess I'm gonna have to go hunting because it doesn't say anything about how long it takes... But I'm really excited as well.. But this batch I don't think will make it as according to that article I have to start with Rotifiers.. So I'm heading of to FAF right now to order a bunch up.. Hopefully there will be another clutch of eggs..

Excellent news CL.:thm: Good luck with raising them babies, let us know how you get on.
Thanks CPD.. I feel like the proud daddy.. :)

Yes, and you can also look for eyeballs mate with a jeweler's loop or magnifying glass etc. I would try to get a couple of rotifer cultures started for them now so that you have plenty of food for your newborn fish! Congrats that's fabo!

Cool man! Good luck! If you're looking to offload a couple of the little ones, give me a holler when they're good to go :)
