Hello everyone,
I have a 2+ year old 6 inch long goldfish (I believe he's a fan tail) that has been healthy his entire life in a 20 gallon tank with frequent water changes, sea salt, and a healthy diet. I'm currently away at college, so my 14 year old sister is taking care of the tank (she's pretty good at it as I taught her how to do it) and she sent me a few photos of the goldfish with a strange "string" on his tail as she said and I can't figure out what it could possibly be.
Google stated it might be anchor worm, but from the images and videos she sent me, it doesn't look like it. The "worm" has a red tip and is white at the base. Here's a picture and video if someone could help me figure out what's wrong with my poor fish!
Thanks!
