I was browsing Aquabid a couple of months ago and I stumbled upon a listing that advertised SNE (Saturday Night Express). This is a gathering of Aquabid users and Aquaboards forum members that takes place once a month--the second Saturday of the month. SNE is usually at about 8pm and everyone meets in the aquaboards chat room. They have special one hour auctions and secret auctions on aquabid as well as other fun little games (lottery, lucky number, drawings, etc.) where you can win prizes! Anyways, this particular advertisement was for a "Family Portrait" contest and the winner would get a mix of brown & albino bristlenose pelcos from the awesome Skiboy (aquabid seller & forum member). I decided to sign up for their forum and see what this SNE thing was all about. I, of course, posted my family portraits to enter the contest and also I have "attended" the last two SNE events and I must say, it's a ton of fun. The winner was picked for the contest last Saturday night and Charlie's name was drawn. However, Charlie decided that he really didn't need any more fish so John (Skiboy) donated $25 (normal price for his pleco auction) to his local Boy Scouts troop and picked a new winner to send the plecos to as well. That's right... ME! I won! I'm sOo excited. :headbang2: I just had to brag, but at the same time I wanted to tell all of you about this great time that they all have at SNE. Perhaps you could join in on the festivities--win a prize, get a chance at some great auctions, or just enjoy a nice chat with other fishy freaks.
