Hey,
I just bought a pair of kribensis cichlids 2 weeks ago. They have settled in well, I have 4 rosy barbs with the kribs and my tank is a 20g long. The problem is that the male is being aggressive towards the female, whenever the female comes into the line of sight of the male, the male will flare his fins and then chase her around the tank. Because of this the female spends most of her time in hiding. The male is around 2 inches and the female is 1.5 inch.
Im sure this is typical behaviour, does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on what i should do?..I remember reading somewhere that it is unusual for a male krib to pair off with a smaller female is this true?
Thanks for your time!
