hi everyonequick question does Flourish Iron effect shrimp? im getting cherry shrimp from Mgamer and I dont know if I should still use the Flourish Iron in my 12 gallon planted tank. Iron (Fe).......1.0%I mean does the Flourish Iron damage shrimp or does it do nothing to them???Thanks for any thoughts or answersPasha

have added it to my 120 with no problems. i never know how to answer these though. i dont think the low levels will harm it but you might want to be safer then sorry.

okay yeah i wont do it if I see the plants just dying and turning yellow then I will do more research if its safe with shrimp

I've used it in partial dose amounts in my 10 gallon with no problems.

its copper thats contained in some ferts that you want to watch out for.

actually, all metals are toxic to invertebrates. but low doses seem to be tolerated. I wouldn't recommend repeated use over time though. the metals will accumulate within the tank and is extremely difficult to eliminate.

that is a good point i have added iron but only when my plants show signs of deficiency.
