new peacock with about 20+ fry help!

:wall:i wanted a cichlid that was holding and so i bought myself a 30$ dollar
peacock
she was full of fry in her mouth
she lasted to days when she got to my house to relaese the fry
she realsed about 20+ fry and i dont know what to do now
i have them in a 20 gallon and so far i havent seen her feeding her kids and they are about 7 days old from the time they left her mouth
she what should i do
i feed them color seafood flakes.
the temp is about 81

feed them a varied diet. as with people, moderation is the key.

after you put the food in the tank, the mother of the fry will do most of the work. as the fry get bigger, she will still protect and feed them, but they will start to look for their own food.

Congratulations! I used Hikari Little Bites for my peacock fry, they did very well on it. Then crumbled flakes or crisps til they got bigger.

Asuming you are talking about Aulonocara, mothers do not tend to their fry as american cichlids do. They will sometimes see them as food and eat them.

I suggest seperating the fry from the mother and feeding them finely crushed cichlid flakes and brine shrimp.

i guess i will take the mother out in a few days and
feed them baby bites and brine shrimp.
i will soon put up pictures because i dont knoww hat kind of peacock i have
i can already all the nice colors on their fin

Female peacocks are impossible to tell species (Unless you buy it from a tank of a specific Aulonocara species) They are all brown and look the same.
