While at petco today I spyed out these little charecters in a plant tank, asked the kid working there what the were and he wasnt sure, but said I could have them if I wanted them. So what are they?

How can you tell a shrimp from a crayfish?

thats a shrimp...i think....crayfish are bottomfeedin n i don think dey swim around like dat...anyway mine doesn ...but mine is like around 4inches ...so pretty easy to differntiate :)

definetly a crayfish. shrimp are more narrow with longer and thinner arms. crayfish will crawl all over the tank and not just sit at the bottom. one of mine even climbed the airline tubing and took a walk around my basement for a few hours.
