I have a 29 gallon FW comunity tank with 3 pearl gouramis, 5 dwarf otocinclus, 5 albino corys, 1 golden bristlenose pleco. pH has remained 7.0 for eons, until I did an unusual water change a couple of days ago. Being out of town for two weeks, the water LOOKED bad, but didn't get readings. Changed out 5 gallons of water, replacing it with clean, using Seachem's pH Neutral Regulator (my usual). Then the next day I exchanged 50% of the water, and now my pH has dropped to 6.6, nitrates 15ppm. I'm assuming if I leave everything alone for a few days and allow the detritus and mulm to re-establish itself to up the pH. Could this be a solution, or is there something else I should do (or not do?) Worry or not worry (I don't like 6.6, but I'm not a fish - although I do a good imitation when asked :eek3: Help, please, oh nollejabell ones!:help:
