You failed to mention what type of fish your friend has. Normally SB is fatal.

It's not really a disease but more of a disorder to damage or malfunction. Is the fish new? How did she acclimate it?

I might add that if this is a balloon strain, I'm afraid these are very vulnerable to such disorder.
