Coral Coral and more Coral .
A few fish but havent made any def choices yet i am more interested in coral .
We are planning in the next 4 months to filling with ALOT of LR and try and get a variety from different stores, maybe even on line try and get it cheaper ,We are looking to put 100lbs + b4 i
start picking coral.
We are setting this tank up and looking for a few more "holding tanks "
Used would be ideal but will buy new if we have too,if we get fish towe will ned more holding tanks as we want to prepare ahead "just in case" because we are new to this.
So far we need to drain the water ,take the CC OUt (our first mistake)
Clean the glass on front and side near sofa, and leave the other 2 sides as is .
We are going to take the overflow off again and reseal better.
We are looking at doing this on the weekend .
We will need to affix a stopper to the floor to hold the sofa from sliding into the tank lol ,today i was loving the dog and she got too happy and almost slid the sofa through the tank talk about pannick lol and think omg shes still growing lol
great dane 9months 110 lbs .
I will tryand get some photo's up this week .

90gl/sump
22lbs LR
40lbs LS
cycling 3days and counting lol

You dont neccesarily need to drain the tank to swap out the substrate..Its a tank which is void of liverstock, so, just scoop it out and replace it with the other sand..

What is wrong with using tap water ?
I dont like tap water and living in an apartment ,i use a lotus water treatment for drinking .
Instaling something here i think is out of the question.

So i have been thinking about the water since we filled it , it is somewhat bothering me ,and have been trying to think of alternative's.

b4 i used my lotus i used to boil my drinking/cooking water ,i can see it taking weeks to boil and cool enough water to fill our tank,BUT would do it if it would make a huge differance.

Someone told me if i let the water sit for 24 hours it should be fine .

Hubby says their must be some kind of chemical to make the water worthy .

THAUGHTS ANYONE?
Thanks ahead of time
