Ok if I want to paint the back of my tanks, is there anything special I should do? I have a dark blue that I like and it is a flat paint, would I need to add a "sealant" of some kind if I do this?

I've never used sealant, and all my tanks have turned out fine. Just tape up the edges, and go.

None of mine have a sealant. Just spray or roll as required.

Just a lot of coats, no sealant, looks great. Good luck and post pics when you are done. I used a flat black for mine, would like to see how yours looks with the flat dark blue.

Ok, thanks everyone!!!

I will post some pics when I'm done, not sure if I'll do it today or tomorrow though...was wanting to go get some parts I need for my Mag today...but things are not looking as though I am going to be able to make it, so I may end up doing that today instead.

There is a stargate in my aquarium.
I just taped the edges, rolled on the first coat, then brushed the next two. Everything worked fine. :thm:
