I've recently acquired 8 "European longfin" blue rams. They are around an inch long. I think there are three females amongst them. Do I have to wait for them to pair up or can I simply put a male and female together in a breeding tank?
As far as the breeding tank is concerned, would it be better to go barebottom or with a substrate? I've seen articles on breeding rams state that they breed them all in planted tanks, but I just want other opinions.

And please keep us posted! I'd be very interested to hear about your experiences in case I get the urge to try to breed Rams.

Just picture a blue ram with longer fins. :D

Keep us updated on the pairing up/breeding process though!

Nice, they only have long-fin German golds here, never seen them in a blue before.
