Hi,

I purchased some Pepper Catfish this weekend for a new tank (tank had been broken in for a week with Cycle/feeding the empty tank, then with 5 Guppies for a fortnight). As it's just new I wasn't too worried about space. I asked the fish shop staff and they said that the Pepper Catfish would grow to about 2 inches (5cm). I've since read that they can grow up to 4 inches (10cm), and somewhere else that they only grow to an inch (2.5cm). Does anyone know how big these little guys will actually grow? They are being kept in a 20 gallon (25 US / 95 Litre) 32 x 16 x 12 (80 x 40 x 30 cm) tank in case this makes a difference.

Thanks in advance.

5-6 cm is max size IMO. Only those of Bronchis genus can reach 4 inches. Corydoras are even smaller. Aspidoras are even smaller than corydoras.

@All - Thanks for the welcome!

@Lupin - Thanks for the info Lupin. That will help in my tank calculations. I'm glad it's not 10cm - that would have been a bit cramped!
