hello! I'm new here and very inexperienced!
I've recently set up a paludarium in a 10 gallon tank (about 5 gallons of water). Currently it only contains flora.
I'm considering adding a fish or two - but so far the only appropriate inhabitant seems to be a betta fish. I know I am pushing it with such a small volume of water!
Anyone have any suggestions for an inhabitant?
I've researched the zebra danio and red platy - but I am unsure as to whether these fish need to be in large groups to stay healthy.
I also considered the dwarf gourami - but again, I'm not sure if I have adequate water volume (I thought maybe the surface area was the most important aspect) or if a gourami would do well alone.
Again, Im so new at this so I apologize if I'm annoying, thanks for your help!
