bettas acting weird

I just put my female betta in the tank after my male had built his nest and he is being chased by her,she is rounded and has her egg tube showing,I know that he is suppose to lead her to the nest for spawning but she is actually chasing him or he is just running from her ,don't know which but either way it don't look natural . any suggestions on what is going on here?

he is in a 10g half filled and was in an other tank in that one could see each other,been there for two days,she was flaring at the male(is that normal?)as well as him flaring his gills at her
