Well not to disappoint but I think I am going to just go with Painting the back black. Now one thing I have thought about is to line the back with the live rock that I have to make this look like the bottom of a rock wall. with maybe a few caves here and there that will let everyone have a place to hide. I have seen some ideas of how to connect the rocks together with PVC and marine epoxy but that will be over the long run. A bunch of the pieces I have are flat so it would not stick that far out into the tank. That is a nice setup and it would be nice to do something like that eventually. Just need a little more time....

oh and to answer the other question yes I will have wood trim around the entire tank to finish it off. I am glad I had not done that just yet as I had a small leak that has been fixed. it has wrecked on of the corners so I will have to re-mud and paint that section before those finishing touches.

Gman, whatever you do it looks great! Thanks for sharing your progress with the rest of us. I was going to have my tank drilled but have fears of the glass breaking. Then I would need to find a good overflow box to attach to the back, that has been a big problem. Seems like no one carries a nice overflow box like those that come in ready made reef tanks.

So I have some bad news... looks like i lost most of my fish except the Blue Spot grouper. not sure why but everything checked out good with the water quality. Guess I will wait and see with the grouper. he is pretty active and is eating well.

Well I know it has been a while since I last posted but some good news... Found the Wasp fish in the sump... Have not had a chance to get it out of there yet but should be able to do that this weekend. Hoping the dampiera made it as well.
