So I bought a rock with some zoa's on it about 6 months ago.

They multiplied and grew fast, but they are growing tall????
I dont see them like this in any other pics...

whats the deal?

Before (this was right when I brought them home, they hadnt opened yet)

they're makin like a plant towards the light.

a stronger light or higher placement will get them back to normal.

MarineMad,
If your zoas are not opening they have a problem. They are either infested with some sort of pest or they have a fungal infection.

Either way, I suggest you remove them and give them a 30min dip in SW and Seachems Reef Dip. This should help with your zoas. If there is a pest you will see it. If it is fungal the dip will help.

Do the dips and let us know what is going on.(I can give you more tips after that.)
