:help: Hi, need advice....my guppy had some sort of fungus infection bit like cotton wool but not as thick, it seems to be over his body not just in one spot. Well i dont wanna treat whole tank as it would kill my good bacteria. so was gonna get a small tank as a qt tank with a mini filter,kind of like what you would put goldfish in. Anyway what treatment could I use and is it ok living with no heater for a few days in a warm room or I could get a very small heater. PLEASE need advice asap as i wanna get treatment tomorrow.

Put the fish in a medicated tank and administer a 30min long bath malachite green (10.5ppm). That works pretty well. The fungus is generally caused by a another disease, such as a parasitic infestation.
Not a fungus. It is actually columnaris. Meds that cover gram negative bacteria are generally be useful here such as Maracyn.
Columnaris can progress better in warm temperatures. Keep temp steady at 76 degrees for now.
