What would you say the Minimum size tank would be for a Pictus Cat and Rainbow Shark to live happily and very healthy in?

When I googled pictus cat I got conflicting info. Some say 5" max, some say 10".
I agree with a 75. I have a large 5" rainbow and I couldn't imagine it in anything less than a 55 by itself. 75 with other fish imo.

75 would be a good call but I would question the compatibility of the two fish. As it is, the rainbow will mature into a turf hog. He may view the pictus as an enemy in time.

you got conflicting info on pictus because there are a few different species of them.

the polka dot ones max out at around 4-5 inches but other varieties ( for example the striped ones) can hit 10".

if your rainbow shark is that big already I agree that a 48x18 footprint is probably best,
My Pictus and Shark are about the size of my pinky finger right now :silly:
