i would suggest unhooking it and just using tapwater and a brush. Clean the magnet and pump blades, intake,output. pretty much it!:thm:

Yep agreed. Take it out and give it a good clean under freshwater. An old toothbrush works great for cleaning all the fiddly areas.

running it in dilluted rice vinegar helps in addition to a scrubbing.
