    Mine was the Eagle Owl...the second one. I had fun carving it so if I won I figured it was just a bonus anyway. Next year I'll have to try some of the techniques you used. I just carved straight through on all my cuts. Never thought about partial cuts. It looks great that way.

    I thought the owl was great. I think the only reason it didn't do better is it didn't have a fishy theme.

    ha ha, my two cats *love* pumpkin. I have to constantly shoo them away from the bag of 'guts'

    Nice! I was going to enter but couldn't do it in good conscious. My pumpkin would have been a two person job and my husband is a wood carver....so I thought it would be cheating to have two people and a carver competing.

    The winner got my vote.

    The eagle owl was really nice too! We got to see a live eagle owl in a raptor display recently. Quite an impressive bird!
