Ramshorns will do a fine job. Apples aren't exactly the greatest at consuming algae nor the MTS. I believe the pond snails also like algae but I've never seen them eat them except the rotting plants and food leftovers.lol
Not all apple snails eat plants. But they are notoriuos for escaping, as are nerites. Nerites are the only true really efficient algae eaters. What type of algae and tell us more about your tank.
10gal. tank.....im starting to Finnaly get some green algae..... i have 6 zebra danios and quite a few plants!!! i want to keep the algae under control and i have a (what i think is a ramshorn) in my other tank....small only about 1/4to1/2 in. will it reproduce by it self?????
