Plant ID - why not one more?

Yea, don't think its aquatic. I think any plant with white stripes on the leaves is a dead give away that it is a terrestrial plant. Don't quote me though.
I would take it out, or at least move its leaves above the water line till you get a positive ID.
It looks like a cast iron plant to me. I just couldn't find one with variegated leaves that show pink or reddish edges. Could be a variety of diffembachia, too. But it's definitely a houseplant, and not aquatic.
