The a borellis are great little cichlids. if you have not tried these I would encourage you do.

they are small , mine appear to be juvies or sub adults. they are peaceful (territorial a bit) and tough. I have mine in a QT tank with a couple angels and some pvc tubing and moss..they love the moss.
at first I was afraid the angels would attempt to eat them since they are small but still large enough to be considered safe.. my fears were put to rest when on of the A Borellis.. took an angel on .. none the worse the angel backed down.

they already recognize me as the food source and swim to the front of the tank when they see me.
I can't wait to get them into thier permanent home(55 gallon)

I got 8 of those Borelli from MG a while back. His pictures do not do them justice.
Mine are coloring up real nice. A pair or a few females can easily be kept in a 10gal with a few Ember Tetras or other micro mid/top dwellers.

MG I need some A. Nana (5-6) for a new setup and re-scape.

what star_rider said. there some people to keep them in 10 gallons i would keep them in 20. i put 6 in my 120 never seen one bit of aggression. they are one of the least aggressive apisto.
