My shub started with a swollen belly, now its a open sore on the side!!! HELP!!! What is it? can it be treated??? can it spread to my other goldies??

It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like either an aero/pseudomonas infection, or a nasty case of fish tb. I'm leaning more towards tb since aeromonas ulcers don't tend to protrude from the body so much. The stringy white poo also points to signs of internal infection. We QT'ed the fish, but what about my other goldfish in the main tank? Do we have to treat the whole tank too? Are those things you listed able to spread to other fish? also, did you notice how swollen his belly is?

The mucous casing hanging from the anus is also indicative of TB.

well, Freddy died in the QT tank sometime last night. :( :cry:
What can I treat the main tank with to protect the other fish??? HELP PLEASE!!!

But we have a medicated food Tetracycline could we start with that or do you have a better idea?

Thank you. We really don't want to loose the rest of our goldfish.

Yeah they look healthy but they do have white stringy poo. Would the medicated food that I have be sufficient?
