The tips of one of my comets tail turned black and now its not fully spread out, but its not clamped down. Im just wondering if its a disease or something wrong with the water or if like someone else posted some comets do this right before they grow? Thanks!

What are your water paramters, what size tank and what size fish? It could be the start of fin rot.

When I bought my comets there were 2 orange ones and one was black around the edges. I thought it was like people how we have diffrent color hair etc.

Is my comet sick or is this normal?
Reading your post worried me abit.

Cyborg, we need to know the details of your tank setup and what your water parameters are right now.
Young goldfish will change colors as part of normal development, but black is almost always a color that fades OUT, not in. Black suddenly appearing can be a sign of an injury - similar to bruising for humans.
