2008_1218holiday0019.JPG got him from live rock,no idea what kind,anyone know thanks. 2foot tank 2 damsel 12 month old,kept tropical all my life.he is about 2 inch,red under,leopard skin claws large antennae. any clues appreciated.

looks like a porcelain crab, shouldn't be a problem in your tank. they sell for about 5 bucks a piece so thats a lucky find.

I would actually remove him from your main and move him over to a sump if you have one. I am not too sure that it is an anemone crab.
Maybe take a better picture of the crab under the macro mode of your camera.

pmoores: I was inclined to think it is a porcelain crab just from the overall appearance/color. If you see it put out two large appendages as if to net through the water, you then have a harmless porcelain crab. If that is the case I would leave it in the DT, not put it in the sump as long as the DT is a reef.
