I was wondering if anyone has ever used the fluval plus 4 internal filter? And if so how well does it work. I know this kinda bulky to put inside of a tank but I really don't want to risk using a filter that brings the water outside of the tank to minimize the risk of any accidents. If anyone has any other ideas I would like to hear them as well. It's for a 50g with no fish yet.

I have one of those running on a 45 long and it seems to work fine. It is basically a sponge filter with a power head but it is built into a case that holds everything.
I use one on my 75g and lay it down on it s side so its kinda out of the way. I like that it provides additional filtration and a nice bilogical bed. However, it is a really large piece that I wish was smaller.
