Can anybody give me insight. I got them both from the same store under the same name.
This is the suspected female.

This is the suspected male.
Male.JPG
The "male" is almost 2x the size of the female and is still lacking the full stripe through "his" eyes and the dark dorsal fin marking. I suspect the second to be male since it has extensions on his tail. The female has no extensions but she is really bossing the male around. She has been in the tank longer and has claimed her territory.
My questions are:
1. Are my suspicions correct about the sexes?
2. Is the male even the same species?
3. Are there any chances they will pair up?
4. Will the female stop pestering the male?
Thanks for the help.

The male (I think) is colored up more. The stripe through his eye is defined now but he is still being chased by the other.
Any ideas?

You are correct in sexing them. You can see the ovipositor in the female in that picture if you look closely. Stress has caused the male to lose some coloring. I guess the female doesn't like the male. Maybe take him back and get another.
