Aside from being soft-water river fish, I've never heard of bumblebee microsynodontis. In any case there are similar Tanganykian cats available, just not very commonly available. Google Lophiobagrus for more info.
i foundem on daves it just says microsyndontis sp. 'bumblebee'. the other one is microsyndontis cf. christyi. i have a s. eupterus but hes like 6inchs long and i was told he wuld b a threat to my multies
The christyi has a higher pH range listed on the planetcatfish profile (7.5), the "bumblebee" tops out at 7.0. Wouldn't it be less expensive to get a few regular upside-down catfish (S. nigriventris)?
