to much light?

i have some red root floaters that i got from BK in one of my 10gallons. and for some reason the Red Roots seem to be melting. are they getting too much light? i have 4.6WPG in there right now. the frogbit seems to be doing fine but there is only 3.6WPG in that tank. so is the light whats melting my RR?

wpg breaks down in smaller tanks so I wouldn't be using that as a guideline. Some plants will "melt" as they adjust to a new environment, but not sure if red roots do that...

they are like turning into brown much lookin stuff. the roots have gotten a very bright red tint to them.
