Here are some slate caves I made for my tank its something I saw on another site its a great way to make your tank "original" or "natural" compared to the stuff they sell at walmart to put in your tank.

Yes the one on the left the double cave we just used some silicone and some of it shows at the angle I took the picture you cant really see it if your looking at our aquarium. The other one is a bunch of different pieces together that make caves/ledges for our fish. It is our 2nd one and it looks really good in person, people ask us where we got it. Very easy to make with some slate from home depot ~$7 for a couple sq ft. And silicon from walmart ~$5.
looks cool... one thing.. what kind of cilicone are you using?
you dont HAVE to use "aquarium silicone" but always make sure you are using "100% silicone"
