DIY co2 problem

even though i have 3 check valves in my 2L co2 setup i still find that water starts creeping up through the tubing whenever i change a bottle or if i need to move things around. what could cause this?

setup is like this:
2L bottle, tube, check valve, tube T connector
2L bottle (#2), tube, check valve, tube, t connector.

goes to more tubing to a check valve then to the tank

i dont know why this keeps happening but when it does i know that i have no co2 going into my tank....im confused! :help:

i should have said that all 3 are brand spankin new....

aprox 4 - 5 inches.

when i have changed out 2L bottles i have even used a clamp to pinch the tubing so that nothing can escape, and/or to prevent back flow....still doesnt help..

i had water in an air line between my bottle and my first check valve, the tubing was also below the bottle causing the water to get trapped in the tube i guess....hvent had the problem yet since (aka 3 hours later)

i think it is all fine now. i was reading last night when all of the sudden i start to hear this funny noise coming from the fish tank....

realized it wasnt my filter but it was actually my co2 working properly for the first time!
