Lights that Turn the Water Yellow

somebody donated a box full of stuff to our class and in it was a new light.

they stuck it on the gourami tank and it gave the water a yellowish green tint and it looked really cool!

i was wondering if anybody knows what kind of light this is?

i turned the light off and picked it up and looked at the bulb breifly but i didn't see any writing on it. i didn't take the bulb out and look though.

if i knew that, i wouldn't have made this thread now would i

i honestly don't know what kind of bulb it is, but it looked just like any other fluorescent bulb i've ever seen.

i don't see how it could be white, because the water has a really yellow/green tint, like pond water. i really liked the effect because all my fish are wild fish, and i thought those lights would be a good accent.

but anyway, stupid me forgot to turn the light off before i lifted it to look at it, and it looked white when it was off the tank.

after i regained my vision lol i turned the light off and looked at it, and it just looked like any other fluoroescent bulb.
