We have a 160 long with one hole drilled, looks like a DIY. We want to block it off, and have a couple questions:

1) The reef forums seem to recommend using a bulkhead and plugging it. This would leave it available if we wanted to use it later, but will that be reliably leak-free? We're talking 160 gallons/ over 1200 lbs of pressure!

2) I've seen glass block-off plates siliconed over holes, looks ok to me

3) Lexan can be 10x stronger tham glass, could we use lexan? Will silicone stick to it?

:help:
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Use a bulkhead and cap it off..no problem.
