that's incandescent wattage not the actual watts 9 actual watts in comparison to 40 watts incandescent. I'm using the same brand in my new diy lighting but i have the blue packaged daylight ones.

But the wpg is based on the equivalent amount of light in watts, not the amount electricity required to generate the light, right? For instance a 100w spiral would be 100 or 26w?

The plants know how much electricity you are using, so it feels bad for you having to pay so much in power bills so it will grow better for you. That's why more watts = better growth

It's based on the equivalent in fluorescent, not incandescent. Hence it's the actual wattage if the light is fluorescent, as these are.
