hi iv only had my tank for about 5months maximum,
init i have 2 fantails,2 blackmoors,a weather loach and 2 fish that i cant remember the name of as my partner picked them in the shop.
we started with one fantail that my partner had for about a year- then added the second one when we got the new tank and also added the loach.
all was fine with the tank and fish( as far as i know) until 2 weeks ago when i got the other 4 fish ,
one of my black moors has white spot- ive bought a treatment that still has 3 days to go before any results, but iv noticed since that the other black moor spends most of its time around the bottom of the tank- it doesnt come up for food, and i think its is having a bit of trouble swimming.now and again it will pop up to the near surface but i dont think ive seen it go right to the top!?
ive tried comparing the tails on the two moors and the one with white spot *the only way to tell them apart* seems to have a tail like a fantail only slightly different, where as the second one has one side the same as this and the other side seems to be 'bent' i tried to brush my hand past it to see if it was rigid or if the moor could 'flex' it but it seemed to feel 'hard' and no matter how the fish swims it doesnt seem to straighten up -
could the fish of broken its tail and it has healed arkwardly?!
i know i shouldnt be saying this as i already have the fish- but i really dont have a clue if or not its possible for this to of happened?!
id be really grateful if anyone could help me as i wont be able to take the moor to a pet shop at meast until monday and i dont want it to be in anymore discomfort than it needs to be if theres something i can do to help before then!
many thanks
