So I stumbled across some little chocolate gouramis while looking for driftwood at a LFS. I've stayed away from these little guys before because of their reputation, but now I think I'm a little more experienced. I asked the employee how long they'd had them, what they were eating, and what was the pH.

So far so good...

Here's a (crappy) short video, since photographing them with my little Kodak Easyshare was impossible.

Any tips on these guys?

They are very nice fish...there's a couple of people on here that keep them maybe they'll come along with some advice. I would advise make sure you keep up on your water changes religously.

Every source I read on these guys doesn't really agree except that they're extremely delicate :( I had to separate the two I have because the dominate one was picking on the other one and not letting it eat. Come to find out they need to be kept in groups to form a hierarchy. I might go back to the store and pick up the last one and try them all again in a bigger, planted tank. I also found out I have Sphaerichthys selatanensis and not Sphaerichthys osphromenoides. Doesn't really matter since they're just as sensitive.
