I was looking for some aquatic plants that are native to Georgia, I can't find a list of them. Anyone know where I could find one?

I'd like to fill up my neighborhood pond with plants. It's murky with no plant life AT ALL. In fact, I have never seen plants in the water where I live, except for some Anacharis-type plants, as well as some kelp-looking stuff. Every single pond with those plants have crystal clear water.

Anyway, would that be legal? Putting plants in the pond that are native to GA?

Those aren't always easy to find, but here are two links that may help.

As far as what's legal for you to do there, here's a phone number to the APHIS State Plant Health Director's office in Georgia. Someone there should be able to direct you the right place to find out.

Ah, thanks.
I found the invasive list (with aquatic listings) and 2 of the 3 plants I mentioned are invasive haha.
