So most of you know I bought my 135 gallon. Its paid for, used, but looks in pretty good shape. It hasnt gotten home yet, which will be done about Monday or Tuesday.
It came with:

A bunch of decorations ( Driftwood, some coral... fake I think)
Some gravel
Rena XP3 Canister Filter
Net
Cycle stuff, I used to use it... so expensive and I don't even know if it works....
Lil bit of water dechlorinator
Plexiglass lid ( Will have to be changed due to my mexican jumping bean goby... lol ( violet goby))
Air stone with the machine to run it
Very nice stand... might have to fix it abit....
Jager 150 watt heater
And I think thats it...
All that for a measly 250...:woot:

I will post pictures later on...
I know I have a bit of work to buy all of the sand and some new decorations etc....
and I still have to clean it *dread*
Any suggestions for what I should use to clean it? It has some white looking scum on the top and I don't know whats going on there...
Thanks!
Phoenix

Vinegar and hot water should do the trick ;) I have cleaned many a hideously filthy tank with just that, and a little elbow grease.

Agreed.

I cleaned my 35 gallon with Distilled White Vinegar and water right from our hose. Took a bit of time, and a hell of a lot of scrubbing, but the tank looked great in the end. Just make sure to rinse the tank well after cleaning.

These are the pictures of my tank all nice and clean ^.^
I still have to rinse it quite a bit still...
I found a wierd piece of silicone in the corner and im praying to god that it isn't a leak.... you can never be sure when you buy a used tank....
So im thinking of re-siliconing it, just for peace of mind.... what do you guys think?

if so... any suggestions for what silicone I should use?
How do I get the old silicone off?

I'd say, do a leak test before redoing the silicone.

If it is leaking, and you must re-silicone the tank, remove all the old silicone with a razor blade.

I've been told GE Silicone 1 works.

Hi everyone again. I found some possible tankmates, as im thinking I want my tank to actually look active. lol
What about flag fish and archers?
Good tankmates for dragon gobys?

I have not kept flag fish. They are cold water fish, wonder how they would hold up in the warmer water.

My dragon goby is the most docile fish in the tank. I think any fish that does not pick on it, could work fine.
