The quick cure is not as fast as you'd like to think. I'd do 7 days beyond any visible ich on the fish. You need to kill all the forms it can take, theront, trophont & whatever the 3rd is, can't think of it right now. On the fish, in the substrate & in the water. Or it will come back.
Agreed. Any good ick cure needs to take into account the life cycle of ick. And that can last from days to weeks depending on temp in the tank. The higher the temp the quicker the meds can kill the ick in its free swimming form (the only time it is able to be killed). Anything that says it works in 2 days though is not really getting the job done.
quickcure has got the job done for me before. i will say that i have to agree that 2 days is far from realistic though.

For ich, I usually do 14 days treatment to be sure the ich has completely been eradicated.
