We ship to the United States only. We are not exporting at this time.
Shipments are typically sent via Express Mail and live arrival is guaranteed. Shipments can be sent via Priority Mail with no live arrival guarantee.
Shipments can be sent via FedEx or UPS at customer request. Live arrival is guaranteed for FedEx shipments. We do not recommend UPS (shipments sent via UPS tend to get very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter due to the design of their trucks) and will not guarantee live arrival for anything sent via UPS.
Air cargo shipments are sent from Philadelphia (PHL), and all air cargo shipments are guaranteed live arrival. There is a $20 airport delivery charge.
Plant-only shipments are typically sent via Priority Mail and live arrival is guaranteed. Plants that are included with fish orders are always guaranteed live arrival regardless of the shipping method chosen.
The live arrival guarantee is for the amount of fish, invertebrates or plants and does not include the cost of shipping, boxes or other fees. Replacements will be shipped at the buyer's expense. The buyer can choose to use their doa credit toward different fish, invertebrates or plants.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are based on the actual cost of your shipment plus the cost of boxes and heat packs or ice packs. In order to estimate shipping costs, we need to know what you would like to order and your zip code.
Shipping charges for plant orders are $6 via Priority Mail regardless of the size of your order.
Meetings, Shows & Auctions
Fish, plants and invertebrates can be delivered to club meetings, workshops, shows or auctions that owner Mark Denaro is attending. There is no box charge or delivery charge for orders picked up at shows.
Special Orders
Most of our business is conducted on a special order basis. A list of the most interesting species available from our suppliers is posted to our website each week, and usually posted to our vendor forum here. We base our orders on the number of requests that we receive for the species listed. The fish, inverts and plants are conditioned after arrival and are shipped to the buyer when they are ready to go. Due to the high percentage of MFK members who have special ordered fish and then not followed through with their purchase, we must now require a 50% nonrefundable deposit for all special orders be sent to us via Paypal. The email address for Paypal is anubiasdesign@yahoo.com. If you choose to not get the fish that you preordered, you will have a credit toward a future purchase in the full amount of your deposit.
